
From our storyboard there is a shot of the Alien Xenomorph's upper teeth, showing too much of the Alien would become too time consuming and distract from the realistic element. By focusing on the hissing and snarling teeth less of the creature is shown and therefore leaves the rest to the audience's imaginations. I have looked into the different ways of building the Aliens teeth and the front of it's head, it was suggested that we buy a figure of the Alien but a realistic looking figure would be too expensive for the part we needed to show.

I have built the upper teeth by moulding plasticine over a plastic cast similar to the picture below, followed by painting the teeth to create the silver matalic texture. The head is made with plastic and may need some further moulding or additional plasticine to create a smooth texture, as I have layered the base with cardboard for now.
